Difference between ASK and other account types

Share savings account (ASK) vs. standard account (funds account)

Updated today

Share savings account (ASK) vs. standard account (funds account)

  • ASK: You only pay taxes when taking out an amount larger than what you deposited in total (benefits realization). You can buy/sell funds internally on the account without paying taxes. Only share funds (with over 80% shareholding) are allowed on this account.

  • Standard account: Here you have to pay taxes on your gains (or deduct on losses) every time you sell a fund. This account type is used for fixed-income fund, which cannot be placed in ASK.

ASK vs. VPS-account

  • ASK at Bulder: Can only be used for savings in funds

  • VPS: An investment fund account is used to buy/sell/store securities such as funds, shares or security. Bulder does not offer VPS as a product.
