The basis for customer dividends is calculated based on how long you have been a customer (day by day) and is determined by the amounts in your deposits and loans. The amounts from each day are added together and divided by the number of days in the year to find the average. If you became a customer during the year, the calculated dividend will be based on the duration of your membership.
There is a cap of NOK 2 million per day as the basis for both loans and deposits. Regardless of how much you have, the maximum basis can be NOK 2 million in loans and NOK 2 million in deposits.
If you share a loan with someone, the cap increases from NOK 2 million to NOK 4 million for loans. The basis and dividend for shared loans are displayed and paid only to the primary borrower. Individuals sharing a loan are responsible for dividing the customer dividend among themselves.
